Voltage (Volts)

The force or pressure in the electrical circuit that causes the current to move through the wire. The voltage is provided by an electrical source such as a generator or battery. 120 Volts AC power, like the power found in most homes and offices, does not have as much force as 460 Volts AC used in many industrial settings.
