Foot-Pound

Energy required to raise a one-pound weight against the force of gravity the distance of one foot. A measure of torque. Inch-pound is also commonly used on smaller motors. An inch-pound represents energy needed to lift one pound one inch; and inch-ounce represents the energy needed to lift one ounce one inch.
