Low Pressure Sodium lamps must be operated within their specified operating positions. The lower wattage types may be operated vertically, base up, to horizontal [=20o]. The higher wattage types must be operated horizontally, +/-20 degrees. Any variation from the specified operating position may result in shortened lamp life. Data for specific lamp types is available from manufacturers upon request.
